Sure it’s a cop out to take a bunch of sunset pictures (it’s impossible to mess up a photo of a good sunset) and call yourself a photographer, but dusk in the tropics is the best time of the day. You’ve likely spent the day accomplishing something totally new to you or you’ve spent the day laying around doing nothing (either is fine) and now the temperature is dropping to a comfortable 80-ish degrees and the beer in your hand is starting to ease you to a level of relaxation that is unmatched by any other scenario imaginable. You might as well document these moments with a couple photos.

The Oregon Coast doesn’t really qualify as “the tropics”, but it does produce a hell of a sunset so I’m going to include a couple photos from my favorite little coast town, Cannon Beach.
